• Have you spotted an object associated with Chesham in another museum? If so, we would love to know about it. Chiltern Toys had a factory making wooden and other toys in Waterside, Chesham until the outbreak of WWII. This Chiltern Toys bear is in the collections of the Victoria & Albert Museum in London.

How can you help?

Chesham Museum urgently needs the following:

• volunteers to open the museum and attend during opening hours
• volunteers to research and/or help put together displays

Volunteer Stewards Wanted

We are recruiting volunteers to steward in the museum - stewards welcome visitors, operate the till and generally keep an eye on things while the museum is open to the public. No experience or special knowledge is necessary as instruction will be given and any enquiries from visitors about artefacts in the museum or the history of Chesham are dealt with by the Curator or our very knowledgeable Volunteer Research Group. Stewards work in pairs and hours can be tailored to suit you.
