File comment: A group of men outside the Five Bells public house, Waterside, Chesham. James Clark, the lender's grandfather and landlord is standing far right. His daughter's can be seen in the upstairs window - they had mumps at the time the photo was taken. The pub was closed in 1906 and the family moved to the Swan, Ley Hill. Postcard loaned by Brenda King.
