The Elgiva Theatre. This building is named after The Lady Elgiva, who created the first record of Chesham in bequeathing her estate of Caesteleshamm to the abbey at Abingdon in 970 AD. A footpath, called Parrotts Path (plaque S), runs along the right-hand side of the Elgiva Theatre car park. This was the site of the Town's End, where the hamlet of Bellingdon bordered on Chesham.
