The Bury (21)
The main gate of The Bury, a fine example of a Buckinghamshire town house, is in Church Street which was until the beginning of the 19th century, Chesham's main commercial street. The back of No.80 used to be a brewery. No.73 was once a boot factory and No.54 is Chesham's oldest house, dating from the 14th century. St Mary's Church Rooms were formerly the National School (plaque L). |
